Solis Collection: Model No.
The Solis Collection, developed by Model No. Furniture, is a collection of mixed use seating that shares a common design language revolving around the boomerang form. Our goal is to create a beautiful piece of furniture that leads with good design rather than the capabilities of the manufacturing process. We aim to use 3D printing as a tool and not as the main inspiration for the piece. The Solis series is a great example of how we were able to create a beautiful series of objects that can blend into a home environment while still standing out and creating a visual and ergonomic impact on the user.
The Full Collection
The Solis Collection started with the Adirondack and Ottoman. This pair borrows the classic ergonomics and gesture of a traditional Adirondack chair. When modeling the surface curvature for this collection of seating we take into account how the contours of the surface will affect stiffness and support for the user. Our mission is to create furniture that is modern, beautiful and references iconic furniture and architectural design from the past. The Solis series sits very well and provides support where needed and flex where its comfortable.
